Registered Nurse Position required in Beautiful Tauranga, Bay of Plenty

We are looking for an experienced practice nurse to join our bustling clinic here at Healthcare on Fifteenth. 

This is a diverse role as a member of an awesome team of admin, nurses, and clinicians who are patient-focused and put the “care” in healthcare. 

Our ethos is supporting our patients to live their best-continuing health through education and care, and this is reflected in all aspects of our practice. 

Supplementary to standard practice is a focus on triage work as we offer a walk-in clinic for enrolled and casual patients, so every day brings something new! 

We have a diverse demographic of patients across all ages and cultures with a strong focus on equity and acceptance, our clinic is a space for all to be welcome. 

We need a flexible team player who can take direction, but also can grab the reigns and think on their feet to tackle every surprise with a smile and determination.

We will require upskilling to meet the needs of the practice to ensure our patients can receive the care they require safely, while maintaining fair and shared workload for our nurses. 

This role is for a minimum of three weekdays with an 8-12 Saturday on a monthly roster, with the possibility of a fourth weekday for the right person.

Remuneration between $38-$42, this is negotiable depending on experience.

Mental Health Social Worker

The position provides mental health assessment, screening, and interventions, I am responsible for ensuring people referred to the CPO Mental Health Programme Social Worker receive timely and appropriate care and support. A key component of my role is to provide safe and effective care, using my professional knowledge and skills to whai ora experiencing mild to moderate, mood, anxiety, substance use issues, or psychological distress within the scope of my practice.  I will also provide support to the wider Primary Mental Health team assisting processing and triaging of referrals to the Primary Mental Health service as required.  As part of the provision of Mental Health services in Primary Care, I may also be responsible for delivering the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addictions service as part of a multi-disciplinary team, located within General Practice. I have the scope to develop this social worker role within the Primary Mental Health Service. You report to and support the Mental Health Program Lead.

Health Coach – Western Bay of Plenty and Whakatāne

We have exciting new opportunities for Health Coaches to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of our community. We have part-time and full-time positions available at a number of locations, including in the Western Bay of Plenty and Whakatāne.

Based in Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke and Whakatāne, this role will work closely with General Practices to enhance access and choices for patients by providing skills, tools and confidence to enable participants to reach their self-identified goals.

  • Serving as the patient’s liaison for services

  • Providing advocacy to ensure the patient’s voice is heard

Health Improvement Practitioner

We have exciting new opportunities for Health Improvement Practitioners to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of our community, with part-time and full-time positions available.

With positions available in Tauranga and Whakatāne, this role will report to the IPMHA Programme Lead and work closely with General Practices to deliver brief, consultation-based services to patients and general practice team members.

Duties will include:

  • Providing evidence-based behavioural interventions to individuals, groups and families for both mental health and physical health conditions in people of all ages.
  • Working collaboratively with Health Coaches, support workers, trainers, evaluators, and General Practice Liaison team
  • Focusing interventions on prevention, acute care and chronic disease management
  • Actively contributing to the evaluation and refinement of the model of care services
  • Accurately recording all patient related information
