General Practice Liaison Co-ordinator

WBOP PHO is a not-for-profit health care organisation focused on supporting and delivering community-based primary health care and wellness services to an enrolled population of 187,000 people through 30 General Practices located in the Western Bay of Plenty and Whakatāne districts. WBOP PHO employs approx. 48 dedicated clinical, management and administrative staff.

WBOP PHO is a joint venture partnership between Ngai Te Rangi and Ngati Ranginui iwi together, and Western Bay of Plenty Providers Incorporated.

We have an opportunity to join our dynamic General Practice Liaison Team as the General Practice Liaison Co-ordinator (full-time). The role in based in the Tauranga office.

The primary function of the role will be co-ordination and support of General Practice Liaison Team activities and management of claiming, payment and reporting systems.

Reporting to the General Practice Liaison Team Lead the successful appointee will have:
- sound planning and organisational skills
- experience of claiming and payment systems and processes
- confidence in the collation and visual presentation of reporting data
- effective communication skills
- ability to work without supervision and plan and organise own work
- a high level of proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- a positive “can do” attitude
