We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Practice Manager to join our team.
Te Puke Medical Centre is a busy General Medical Practice situated in a semi-rural service town in the Western Bay of Plenty.
Our practice is committed to ensure that an equitable, high-quality primary health care service is delivered to the community through our General Practice.
This is a full-time (4-5 days per week) key role to lead and support our professional team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

The role will include:

  • Fostering a culture of high performance and team work to deliver quality care to patients
  • Management of HR, leave and rostering
  • Ensure the smooth day to day activities of the practice
  • HR processes and procedures
  • IT Support/oversight
  • Organising and participating in meetings and continuing education
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrating an approachable leadership style
  • Arranging and overseeing any maintenance to ensure equipment and facilities are kept up to the highest standard
  • Co-ordinating the continuing process of Cornerstone accreditation
  • Working with a very supportive, friendly and caring team

Senior Nurse - Team Leader Omokoroa Medical Centre

We are seeking a Senior Nurse Team Leader to work at Omokoroa Medical Centre.
This position forms part of the management team of the Practice and as such is vital to the success of the business.
You will oversee the everyday duties of the Nursing team and work alongside the Practice Manager and the Doctors to ensure that the community of Omokoroa continues to receive excellent Primary care services.
You will be based in a modern, custom built medical facility and be part of a team that has served the local community for nearly 30 years.

You will have experience as a Practice Nurse, be adept at leading other Nurses, be willing and able to oversee Nursing students, hold a current New Zealand practising certificate, be certified to undertake vaccinations and smear tests and will have used MyPractice, Medtech or another PMS.

A knowledge of the local PHO, DHB and other Bay of Plenty resources would also be desirable but is not essential as we are already very well connected with them all.

We are a busy semi – rural practice located in Katikati, 35km north of Tauranga in the gorgeous Bay of Plenty. Our team is an international mix of GP’s, nurses, HCA’s and Administration staff. We believe in providing high quality equitable care to our patient population of 9500.

Working with the clinical team in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols, you will assist with the provision and delivery of patient care.

You will be able to apply your clinical skills and knowledge in such areas as assisting with minor procedures, ECG’s, health checks, and removal of sutures.

Covid swabbing; sterilization, equipment management, re-stocking and ordering are key elements of the role.

The role is expanding and we expect our HCA’s to be flexible and have the following attributes.

  • Confidence and competence in HCA duties required for the post although training offered.
  • Ideally, experience within Primary Care and/or Healthcare setting.
  • Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
